NID ENTRANCE EXAM COACHING

National Institute of Design is one of the most prestigious institutes in India. It is declared as an Institute of National Importance by the Government. It has three major campuses in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Bengaluru. The new campuses are located at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, Kurukshetra in Haryana, and Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh & Jorhat in Assam.

NID entrance exam is the gateway to various Under Graduate and Post Graduate design courses offered by National Institute of Design – NID. All the students who aspire to have a career in design can face NID entrance exam.

ELIGIBILITY FOR NID Entrance Exam

CRITERION 1 – AGE LIMIT:

No age limit to appear for CEED

CRITERION 2 – CEED QUALIFICATION:

Completed a degree / diploma / post graduate degree programme of minimum 3 years (after 10+2 level) OR
Appearing for the final examination of such a program by July 2021, Passed the GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level) by July 2021.

Note

Eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes usually differ from the eligibility criteria for appearing for CEED. Therefore, before applying for CEED, candidates must check whether they fulfil the eligibility criteria for admission to those institutes.

UCEED ENTRANCE EXAM PATTERN

  • UCEED question paper consists of two parts:
  • Part A (Aptitude and Section) and Part B (Drawing Section)
  • Total Marks: 200. Part A - 100 marks and Part B - 100 marks.
  • Exam Duration: 3 hours wherein 1 hour for Part A and 2 hours for Part B
  • The question paper will be in English.
  • Part A - Online mode Part B - Pen and Paper mode

Summary of UCEED Question Paper Structure: PART B - 60 marks | 30 mins

  • 1. Part B of CEED paper consists of five question which will test drawing skills. Each question will be of 20 marks and sections will be Sketching, Creativity, Forms Sensitivity, Visual Sensitivity, Problem identification.
  • 2. It will require subjective evaluation.
  • 3. The question in Part B will be displayed on the computer screen and the answer has to be written/drawn in Part B answer booklets, which will be collected at the end of the examination.
  • 4. Part B question is mandatory for evaluation of CEED paper.
